Balut Island is one of the best beach destination in summer, which lay in Asian Continent.

Balut Island residents are mostly Sangils, B’laan and Muslims who are warm and welcoming. Balut is part of the Paril-Sangay Marine Protected Area that is why its white sand beaches and waters are pristine, clear and teeming with marine life.

Balut Island Volcano

Farming and fishing are the sources of livelihood for the locals and sea food in main food.

Balut volcano (also known as Sanguil) is a small island of the Sarangani group south of the Batulaki Peninsula at the south end of Mindanao Island in the Philippines.

The age of the last activity on Balut volcano is unknown, but hot springs and thermal areas are active on the W and SW flanks of the volcano.

December 29, 2018: Near Balut Island, An earthquake of 6.9 magnitude struck off the southern Philippine island of Mindanao on Saturday and hazardous tsunami waves were possible on parts of the coasts of the Philippines and Indonesia, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
