How to schedule computer to shut down at a specific time in windows 7

1) First you need to open “Task Scheduler” by the following method
a) Start  ->  All Programs  ->  Accessories ->  System Tools -> Task Scheduler (or)
b) Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Task Scheduler (or)
c) [Windows KEY + R] -> Type “taskschd.msc /s”  without quotes -> Press Enter

2) Click Create basic task on the right side of the Task Scheduler

3) Give the task a name and then click “Next”.

4) On the “Task Trigger” Screen choose the frequency with which you want the Shutdown PC to run. In this example I want to shutdown PC at Monday – Friday @ 7:30AM

5) On the “Weekly” screen, enter the date and time you want your PC to shutdown. Click “Next.”

6) On the “Action” screen, choose “Start a program” and click “Next”.

7) On the “Start Program” Screen,
a. Type C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe in the program/script field. (or)
b. Type “shutdown” in the program/script field without quotes and “–s –f –t 0” in the argument field [Detail About Argument Follow]
i. -s: Shutdown the computer
ii. -f: Forces running applications to close without warning
iii. -t xx: Set timeout for shutdown to xx seconds [-t 0] immediate Shutdown
